Norway instead of New Zealand, bike instead of plane, tent instead of room. On their tour through the fjord country of Norway, Olaf Obsommer, Jens Klatt and Philip Baues travelled from river to river by bike, under their own power, with the kayak on the trailer. This time the focus was not on running the highest waterfalls but on the journey itself: the landscape, the people, and the discovery of reduced speed. “Live simply.”

The team started in Bergen on the west coast, rode 750 kilometres in two weeks, paddled ten rivers and dropped waterfalls of up to fifteen metres. The tour demanded restraint, a shrinking comfort zone and a strong will.

The moods of the rough Norwegian weather added to it. They passed the 250-kilometre Sognefjord, stopped at the world-famous Geirangerfjord, climbed the Trollstigen and raced down towards the finish at Åndalsnes.
